Illusion

Our separation from each other is an optical illusion.

Politics is a pendulum whose swings between anarchy and tyranny are fueled by perennially rejuvenated illusions.

So would a Being, endowed with higher insight and more perfect intelligence, watching man and his doings, smile about man’s illusion that he was acting according to his own free will.

The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.

The fact that man produces a concept “I” besides the totality of his mental and emotional experiences or perceptions does not prove that there must be any specific existence behind such a concept. We are succumbing to illusions produced by our self-created language, without reaching a better understanding of anything. Most of so-called philosophy is due to this kind of fallacy.

The greatest tragedy of human existence is the illusion of separateness.

The illusion that we are separate from one another is an optical delusion of our consciousness.

Time is an illusion.

We must remember that we do not observe nature as it actually exists, but nature exposed to our methods of perception. The theories determine what we can or cannot observe…Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one.
